Hi everyone!
How is your January going? It has been hot and smokey with the odd hail storm thrown in here so not the best summer… However, the general nastiness outdoors has meant that the Month of Challenges has been far more doable than previous years, it has been do much fun to challenge myself and learn so many new things. And of course, getting to admire all those spectacular pages is such a treat! It does make it hard to narrow it down to a few but here goes!
I love @klee73010’s take on the cut out challenge – taking the shape of the cross from the background paper subtly amplifies the page and adding the pink background paper lifts it totally. Also notice the gold heart stamps on some of the actual cut outs - so cool! Add in the black and white photo that has had a slight filter applied to it and it ends up being a very special page indeed.
@sharon-dewi has taken the 20 Goals challenge and made it something you would see in a magazine article! Love the divisions of colour to differentiate between eash category and the clean graphis feel of the layout! Note the arrows on the outside of the cirle tying it all together and the small elements in the centre that personalise it!
This next page from @MamaBee made me laugh - always a good thing! The series of photos almost didn’t need any journaling! The clusters and additional elements draws attention to the narrative and the off centre paper adds that nice bit of dimension – such a very cool page!
Finally, one from our latest blog challenge - @Mama Shades has changed the template up in such a wonderful way – love it when templates are used like this! The photo is gorgeous but would have been a bit overwhelmed by the original positioning of the templates scalloped edges – moving the scallops to the top certainly works!
Hope you have managed to get a lot of this months challenges done, don’t forget you still have a couple of weeks to play along with our blog challenge for this month. Have a lovely February see you soon x
