APRIL BLOG CHALLENGE

Hello fellow scrapping friends! Welcome to the April Blog Challenge! Have you noticed a new trend around here? We've been trying to provide creative scrapping ideas through our Trendwatch and Three Way series and then basing our monthly challenges on those ideas to get you to try new things on your pages. What do you think about this? We'd love to have your feedback, as these challenges are for YOU! We hope to make them fun and something that you look forward to.

In yesterday's Three Way series, Write Me, Maybe?, we took a look at using journaling in creative ways on our pages, so we'll be challenging you to do that for April. But before we get into the details of our new monthly challenge, let's talk about the lucky winner for the March Alpha Challenge. Here's a peek at all the amazing entries watch them in full size in my FB album here.

This month's winner is the talented Ms. Karen!!!

Congratulations Karen!!! You have a PM on your TLP account.
All other participants also received their 25% discount coupons via either their Lilypad gallery accounts or their FB pages. Please make sure you check your messages everyone and if your coupon didn't come through send an e-mail to pinkreptiledesigns at gmail dot com!

Here's Karen's beautiful page:

For this month's challenge, we are using this poster, found on AllPosters.com, as our inspiration. Since this is a journaling challenge, I want to get a little personal this month and find out a little something about you that perhaps I didn't know before.  Sound fun?

Your page must answer the question "I Cannot Live Without ... ".

I'd love to see you use one of the ideas from our Three Way | Write Me, Maybe? article utilized, or one of your very own creative uses of journaling on your page, but it is not a requirement. Your only requirement is to tell us what you cannot live without. Here's a recap of the Three Way | Write Me, Maybe? article:

1) journal on vellum (and perhaps place over a great photo)
2) journal in bits and pieces on lots of layers of labels
3) journal with a combination of word/journaling strips and play with mixing and matching fonts calling out special attention to key words

If you need some additional inspiration, below are loads of fresh ideas from The Pink Ladies. And remember, if journaling is not your fortay, don't be afraid to incorporate quotes or song lyrics to help you get your message across!

Check out these amazing pages, which are sure to inspire you, by the Pink Ladies:

By Shivani
Guest Pink Lady Shivani says she "cannot live without these every day moments at home!" How adorable are those smiles she gets to enjoy everyday!? I love how she used the vellum over the large photo as a place to tuck in her journaling in the form of a Word Art Quote. She also put her own heart felt journaling on the grid vellum. So gorgeous!!!

By Ellen
I love how Pink Lady Ellen talks about how She Cannot Live Without Aging :) (Specifically how age does not matter. Awesome attitude!) She uses wort art with different fonts as her creative journaling approach. Sometimes premade word art really does convey what you want to say best. So, if you are someone who tends to shy away from journaling, remember you can still express your feelings and get some words on your page this way!

By Iva
Pink Lady Iva creates this masterpiece in black and white while sharing her love for her camera as her object that She Cannot Live Without. I absolutely adore all the different fonts that are on this page with the word art and journaling. Do you see how special words stand out here? So SO amazing!

By Natascha
Pink Lady Natascha uses her love of travel and visiting different places as her Cannot Live Without inspiration. Natascha created such a fun page with the C THRU map vellum and all those labels and tags to place her journaling on! So darn creative! The outlined alpha title in the different colors is pretty cool too!

By Manuela
Pink Lady Manuela created a gorgeous page showcasing the things she cannot live without: tea and knitting socks! Sounds like a lovely combination to me! I love the collage feel of her page with all those frames overlaying each other. A mix of word art with different fonts and a fun alpha for the title help Manuela get her words down on her page.

By Li Li
Budding artist Pink Lady Lili creates a quirky, artsy, and truly beautiful page expressing her Love for Paints. That photo speaks volume! So awesome! Lili puts words to her page with different fonts and tilts & enlarges each word for emphasis. Love it!!!

Awesome inspiration right??? Now it is your turn!

Make sure you use at least 75% of Pink Reptile Design products on your page. Once completed, just upload your page to one or all of your galleries and post a link to your layout in the comments section of this post before the next challenge goes live on May 15.

FREEBIES
Off course there's always a little something for free under the FB Free Gift Tab at the  and to be found HERE on the blog. :)

ONE lucky winner will receive a 10 dollar coupon to the PRD store, but really everyone is a winner, as all other participants receive a 25% discount coupon to the Pink Reptile Designs TLP store. So all the more reason to join in on the fun, right?!
