USING DIGITAL TEMPLATES FOR HYBRID PAGES

If you think that templates are no use when making a hybrid, or even a paper page then you couldn't be more wrong. Let me show you a whole new world of possibilities for your layouts!

The first step, of course, is to pick the template you want to use to make your page. I find Project Life and Pocket Page type templates are easiest to work with but any template will work. Just keep in mind that the more detail the template has the more elements you will have to cut and paste.

For my page I used the top left template from Pink Reptile's Daily Life Pockets.

I flipped it 90 degrees counter clock wise.

Then I removed the pocket and elements and used only the top bit [of course you can also use the complete template].

I printed the above shown piece of the template, cut out the seperate pieces and used them as guides for my page. I also printed my photo and a nice selection of patterned papers from various pink reptile kits.

Papers : Forget me not, I am not perfect, Lucky in love, Tadah

I glued my photo to the pages and the patterned papers after I cut them to the size of the template guides.

Once the papers were all in place I added a kraft tag, a flower [Lucky in love], a button [Lucky in love] and the word 'balade' that I cut with my Cuttlebug.

As a finishing touch, I drew frames around all color blocks with a black pen, mimicking the stitches from the original template.

As always I hope you enjoyed my post and if I inspired you in any way, shape or form then by all means make a photo and upload it to your gallery so you can leave a link in the comment section below! I'd love to see what you made!
