BLOG CHALLENGE | DECEMBER

Hello! Welcome to the December Blog Challenge! I can't believe we are at the end of yet another year! This month, we have a fun challenge that will get you to embrace the season, but before we share our new monthly challenge, let's see who the winner for November's template challenge is!!! You can take a peek at all the awesome entries HERE.

The lucky winner for this month is Bobbie!!!

Congratulations Bobbie aka bjc!!! You will receive a notification on your TLP account.
All other participants will also get their 25% discount coupons via their Lilypad accounts. Please make sure you check your messages everyone and if your coupon didn't come through send an e-mail to pinkreptiledesigns at gmail dot com!

Here's Bobbie's gorgeous page:

And now for the new challenge...

Take a peek at these stunning pages by the Pink Ladies:

by Jenn

Jenn used the gold- dipped alpha technique from the Three Way | Sparkle and Shine post. She also recolored the tree stamp, some labels, the dymo-label word art strip, and the silver alphas as shown in the Three Way techniques to create this Christmas wishlist page.

by Diane

Diane used the 3 way Gold Dipped Alpha technique with the C-Thru vellum & she also added the C-Thru Vellum (w/ Linear Burn) to an existing glittered alpha to match it to the gold dipped alpha. She recolored a green glitter tag to blue to better match her page. Love the customized elements she created!

by Karen

Karen added some beautiful gold paints to add a touch of subtle sparkle to her black card stock, she used the C-thru silver stripe paper over the top of the Sparkly alpha which gave it a beautiful sheen! And finally the "ho ho ho" word art was originally clear, Karen clipped the gold paper to it to finish off her page. Love that ribbon and touch of festive red dot paper on the edge!

by Susanne
Susanne used her stash of glittery and gold items as is and created the sweetest title with her mix of alphas. Love the Counting the Days hand stitched Alpha with the shiny and glittery alphas. Looks so gorgeous with the little gold beaded JOY word art from The Sparkly Season. The journaling in-between is a lovely touch!

by miekster

Annemieke's page is so whimsical and fun with the cute photo tilted just a bit and hanging off the edge. I love how the sprays of holly and glittery snowflakes and branches are also introduced onto the page from the edges. The scatters of different kinds of snowflakes lead the eye right to the gorgeous title! An beautiful example of how to complete this challenge using what you already have in your stash.

So whether you try something new from the Three Way | Sparkle & Shine techniques or you grab "as-is" from your sparkly stash, it's your turn to show us what this season means to you ... with some sparkle and shine for good measure of course!

Make sure you use at least 75% of Pink Reptile Design products on your page. Once completed, just upload your page to one or all of your galleries and post a link to your layout in the comments section of this post before the next challenge goes live on January 15th.

ONE favorite page will be chosen as the winner to receive a 10 dollar coupon to the PRD store, but really everyone is a winner, as all other participants receive a 25% discount coupon to the Pink Reptile Designs TLP store. So all the more reason to join in on the fun, right?!

Wishing you tons of fun and Happy Scrappin'!

  4. Oh got to try lots of new things!! The white alpha did not come out as shiny as I wanted. I tried everything suggested, but it is still pretty subtle in it "shiney."

    1. jenn sometimes like's to give them a little twist to add a little oomph to the post but we try to keep that to a minimum.

    2. It's not "oomph" to exclude people who can't read the image from doing the challenge at all. Thank you for making a more accessible January challenge.
