For this month's challenge, we are taking a peek at the latest Three Way post titled Paint Me Pretty, where we use paint in bold ways to add gorgeous color to our pages. To recap the Three Way | Paint Me Pretty techniques, you must use one of the following on your page:

1. Stack and layer paints to create a background & fill your whole page.
2. Use paint to create a space to add some embellishments.
3. Stretch and manipulate some paint to create a foundation for a photo.

Feel free to clip papers to any of the above ideas!

Your job for this month's challenge is to use one of the three paint techniques on your page! Before you rock the paint on your own page, take a peek at these pages:

by the Pink Ladies:

This elegant page uses method #1 ... multiple paint swatches stacked together to almost completely fill the background. The paint swatches here are then recolored and one paint swatch even has a paper clipped to it. The colors match the photo and elements and give this page a beautiful classic feel just perfect for the lovely portrait!

This super fun and creative page uses method # 3 ... paint is stretched and manipulated to create a foundation for the photo (which is an adorable extracted sticker! so fun!) and some paper is clipped to it for bold color! I love how playful this is!

by gaëlle

This bold graphic page uses method # 2 ... paint is used as part of the design to help fill in the diamond shapes on the page ... we see diamond shapes in the photos and text area ... and the paint reinforces that diamond design, helps fill in those remaining white spaces, and creates an area to add some cute embellishments. So creative and artistic!

This page takes the theme of paint even a step further! Using method # 1 ... the entire page is artistically filled with multiple swatches of paint to create the background. The yellow paint stands out and really feels like those splatters of paint that explode from the paint ball gun! Love this!

This modern, minimal page uses method # 3 ... using paints to create a foundation for the photo. Here the focus is not on bold color, but subtle design  as it plays with tone on tone and texture in the most amazing way! I love that the paint foundation area morphs into the title and other design elements on the page (the chevrons and plus signs) by adding stamps near the "paint photo foundation area" in the same subtle tone on tone way. And isn't that new bedroom gorgeous!?!

Now it's your turn!

Make sure you use at least 75% of Pink Reptile Design products on your page [Pink Rep[tile freebies are okay to use too]. Once completed, just upload your page to one or all of your galleries and post a link to your layout in the comments section of this post before the next challenge goes live on September 15th.

ONE favorite page will be chosen as the winner to receive a 10 dollar coupon to the PRD store, but really everyone is a winner, as all other participants receive a 25% discount coupon to the Pink Reptile Designs TLP store. So all the more reason to join in on the fun, right?!

Wishing you tons of fun and Happy Scrappin'!

  13. I created a photo mat with one of the brushes in "Experiment#1 Brush set" and then clipped my main picture to it. I then used another brush to create a layer below to bring in the color of the flowers. Thank you for the wonderful tutorials and inspiration!
