FEBRUARY BLOG CHALLENGE

by Jenn McCabe

Hello & welcome to the February Blog Challenge!

If you hang out over at TLP, did you participate in the Month of Challenges? Were you able to complete them all? Wow-wee, was that a fun and exciting month! I was able to do all 31 pages. And now that it is done, I'm not quite sure what to do with myself, lol! If you feel the same way, then we can help you out with a new challenge to keep you scrapping pages in February.

But before we begin, let's find out who won last month's Inspiration Challenge. I really loved seeing how everyone was inspired by the art piece. Amazingly creative pages!

And our lucky winner is Shivani!

Congratulations Shivani!!! You have a PM on your TLP account.
All other participants also received their 25% discount coupons via their Lilypad gallery accounts. Please make sure you check your messages everyone and if your coupon didn't come through send me an e-mail to pinkreptiledesigns at gmail dot com!

Here's Shivani's beautiful page:

For this month's challenge, let's revisit the latest Trendspotting article "Frame Me".

I want you to create a page that uses some type of frame in a creative, unique way. Stretch yourself to try something you haven't before. There are tons of great pages in the Trendspotting article to help inspire you.
Below, you will find lots of fresh ideas from The Pink Ladies to get your creative juices flowing.

I can not wait to see how you use frames on your challenge page! Please list your creative use of a frame in the comment section along with the link for your page. And remember, Mirjam has included a 25% coupon for her frames category in her store! [see the latest Trendspotting article "Frame Me" for your coupon code!]

Pages to inspire you by the Pink Ladies:

by Pink Lady Guest | Chigirl
Judy uses a frame from the Love Me Tender kit multiple times on this beauty of a page to not only draw the eye to the photo, but to help frame her journaling as well. Notice the way she has intertwined those two frames on the right side of her page? So clever!

by Pink Lady Guest | Melrio
This page by Melanie uses the stamped frame from December 2013 BYOC More Than Words as a design element for WA strips, pattern paper, etc. Rocking!

by Pink Lady | Anne of Alamo
Anne uses frames from Numb3rs and creatively uses PS's perspective feature to create this very cool look on her page! Just wow!

by Pink Lady | Anne of Alamo
Another very cool page by Anne using frames from Authentic and Love the Life you Live . I absolutely love this collage of polaroids. Some of the photos even span more than one polaroid frame!

by Pink Lady | Justagirl
Emma created a lovely layering to draw attention to her photo with the use of a torn frame, stitches, elements and banner flags.

by Pink Lady | Natascha
Natascha created a stunning page full of framed photos in a clean, filmstrip style. What a gorgeous way to include so many photos on one page. Love the hint of lace under her frames too!

by Pink Lady | Cynthia
On this beautiful, photoless art journal type page Cynthia used the frames as journal markers and elements. How´s that for creative use of your frames?!

Make sure you use at least 75% of Pink Reptile Design products on your page. Once completed, just upload your page to one or all of your galleries and post a link to your layout in the comments section of this post before the next challenge goes live on March 15. And please do not forget to list your creative use of a frame in the comment section along with the link for your page.

FREEBIES
Off course there's always a little something for free under the FB Free Gift Tab at the  and to be found HERE on the blog. :)

ONE lucky winner will receive a 10 dollar coupon to my store but really everyone is a winner, as all other participants receive a 25% discount coupon to my TLP store. So all the more reason to join in on the fun, right?!

Wishing you tons of fun and Happy Scrappin'!

I used Pink reptiles Designs 'projekt: live, laugh, love' and woodybits christmass elements torn tresures.

The ballet dancer brushes are googled and edited in PS bymyslef.

  5. I used torn, frames to give the impression of a season discarded and the fuller, folded frame to show the coming season. I had not used a folded frame before. Thanks for the coupon, I used it to get the Fold 'Em Frames and the Woodybits Christmas Torn Treasures V12. The kit is True To Yourself. I really enjoyed this challenge. Thank you :)

  10. Here's my page. I have tried to create the effect of a frame in a mask I created for the Left Page. On the right, used different types of frame to give an illusion of a booklet. I also used the technique shared in the blog earlier of covering an element with washi tape - in this case the amphersand :) all in all I had fun! Mission accomplished :)
