Hi Everyone,
Welcome to 2019 – I assume I am not the only one who is still writing 2018 anytime a date is required…
It is a huge month at The Lilypad with the month of challenges hitting the last week – I think I have managed to get more done this year than previous years but I suspect finishing will still be beyond me – I hope you are having more success!
Luckily, that means I have mountain loads of inspirational pages to admire to choose this month’s Pretty Pictures – hard to narrow I down to three especially when you throw in a fabulous challenge on the blog this month so of course there are 4 this month, I am too indecisive …
So here goes –
First up – from one of my favourite challenges – the cropped photo/title challenge by our own Jenn! The photo treatment for Playtime by @caapmun is stunning. It contrasts so well with the crisp title and then the eye is drawn to the blending of the photo to the background paper. A Beautiful simple cluster, as well as the messy string and the word art along the top frame the photo subtly. Such a lovely page.
Next is lovely @michele hillam’s entry into this month’s blog challenge Crazy Boy – how cute is this page? Gorgeous photo and the very adorable fox from the Embrace kit? Great colour scheme, love, love black and white with a good splash of orange – and also the A4 size is certainly tempting – I suspect we will be seeing more and more of that size in the future.
Lastly, I have two pages using the same kit, It’s Not Just Black & White - just to show the value and style differences that just one kit can provide.
The clean and simple with texture challenge was certainly one I had trouble with but @triplejdesigns nailed it. A lovely photo with a simple but bold frame and minimal embellishments. The paint/textures from the kit are just perfect to add depth and interest to the page without taking away anything from the photo at all.
And lastly, @cherylindesigns using the same kit, perfect use of the frames again, this time over the two photo’s - keeping them bracketed together with the line of brads adding a touch of colour. Also love the buttons following the sweep of the paper. All so eye catching.
Ok, that’s it for another month, enjoy the rest of the Month of Challenges and when you are done there, come on over and play along with our January challenge over at our Blog.
Thanks so much for including my page this month!!
