Hello Scrappers! CT Member Cheryl here, and I'm always looking for ways to make things easier when I get ready to scrap a page or two. One of the things I've been doing for a long time is in regard to template sets. I decided to share this trick with all of you just because I find it so helpful.
Almost all template sets that we buy are the same format - usually they just show the PSD template, which means you can't really see what the templates looks like. Yes, there's always a preview page, but there are usually 4 templates previewed on one page. Since I'm a very visual person, I like to see what each template looks like when I'm trying to decide which one I want to use. This is especially helpful to me when I'm going through old templates, looking for one that I want to use. I can see at a glance, what each template actually looks like.
For today's tutorial, I'll be using the Pink Reptile Designs Pluviophile Template Set, which can be found in The Sweet Shoppe Designs Store: https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/product.php?productid=52024 I'm also using Photo Shop Elements 2018. Let's get started.
This is what most template sets look like when you unzip them:With a tad of pre-work, this is what my template sets look like: I can see, at a glance, what each template looks like.
Let me show you how to organize your templates to look like mine look. Just follow these simple steps.
1. Click on Template 01 and then OPEN. Save as a JPEG.
2. Click on OK when this dialogue box comes up.
Repeat these steps - let's do one more:
1. Click on Template 02, OPEN and save as a JPEG.
2. When this dialogue box comes up, click on OK.
Repeat this process until all of your templates are showing as JPEGs.
I hope you've liked my little time-saver trick. Until next time, happy scrapping!
Cheryl
