PRETTY PAGES by KAREN

Hi everyone,
As always this year – hope you are keeping well and staying safe! October was certainly a busy month in the world of scrapbooking with a very successful DSD at the start of the month – lots of stocking up on supplies – totally justified!

So many pretty pages to look through this month! Here are a few to spark more inspiration-

I’ll say it time and again – A Slice of Lemon is my very favourite kit and @Thuria has used it beautifully her on her Love This page! The background PP adds softness to the starker yellow and black elements – so perfect for the gorgeous photo!

Next is the story of Ellie the cat by @Event Horizon – love cats ! The blending of the photo of Ellie with the textured background paper adds a painted feel to the page – the journaling is well spaced and interesting, and the flowers give the page depth – just lovely!

Lastly a page that uses black in a very untraditional way – for a child’s photo - Free Spirit by @wvsandy. I love the contrast of the gold alpha with the black stitched background – two colours that works o well together. The white flower stamp adds both softness and direction to the page.  Although these are not specifically Halloween elements and papers it shows that those kits/darker colours can be used in a variety of ways – a nice reminder for those of us who don’t celebrate the holiday but love the kits.

Have a lovely November, remember to leave love on the pages you admire and looking forward to what you produce next month!
