TUTORIAL | STRETCH YOUR PAPER STASH

Hello Scrappers! It's June! This year is going super fast, and we are heading into summer! Yay, I'm ready! This is Jenn, aka jk703, here to share a simple stretch your stash tutorial for you today! You're going to love how easy this is, and how it will work with SO MANY papers!

Here is the layout I created, where I used Bring on the Weekend Elements, Bring on the Weekend Papers, and Torn Treasures 3. We are going to make stripes into plaids, and then use the Bend Modes to see if there are any other fun designs you can make!

First, you need to find a striped paper you like! Here is the one I chose.

Next, you will create a duplicate of your base stripe layer. Right click on the base layer, and choose Duplicate. This will create a layer above.

Now, select your new layer in the Layers Palette. Then choose Edit > Transform > Rotate 90* CW.

Your Layers Palette will look like this:

Now, you will use the Blend Modes to change the color/look of the top striped layer. Here is the top striped layer change to the Darken blend mode. Here is a cool, blocked paper made from stripes!

Here is the top layer with the Multiply blend mode. Plaid! See - SUPER SIMPLE! :)

Now, if you turn down the FILL of the top strip paper, you will get a bit of a more even plaid. Here is Multiply at 50% fill.

Here is another version of stripes and plaid using Soft Light:

Hows that for stretching your stash with a side of super simple? Pretty cool!
Thanks for visiting and I can't wait to see what you create!
