MARCH BLOG CHALLENGE

Hello fellow scrapping friends! Welcome to the March Blog Challenge!

If you checked in here on the blog for Tuesday's latest Three Way series, you know we took a closer look at playing with all those alphas we have in our stashes. And as you probably have already guessed, we are basing this month's challenge on those very ideas.

But before we get started, I know you are eagerly awaiting the news as to who the lucky winner for the February Frame Me Challenge is. Here's a peek at all the inspiring entries:

Congratulations Cecilia aka missK!!! You have a PM on your FB account.
All other participants received their 25% discount coupons either via FB or their Lilypad gallery accounts. Please make sure you check your messages everyone and if your coupon didn't come through send an e-mail to pinkreptiledesigns at gmail dot com!

Here's Cecilia's beautiful page:

For this month's challenge, let's revisit the latest Three Way article on stretching your Alphas. I want you to create a page that uses one of the techniques mentioned in the Three Way : Alphas blog post. So as a refresher, your page should use alphas in one of these creative ways:

-as a monogram
-as a stencil (filled in with a brush, stamp or transfer or as a cut-out)
-as a clipping mask with papers.

If you need some additional inspiration, below, you will find lots of fresh ideas from The Pink Ladies to kick start your creativity.

By Susanne
Pink Lady Sucali aka Susanne created an adorable page about young friends and used the clipping mask idea to add an extra punch of color to her alpha.

By Judith
Guest Pink Lady Judy aka Chigirl, used the Put a Label on it Alpha as a sweet little monogram on her page. It really adds that perfect little touch.

By Cynthia
On this beautiful family focused page, Pink Lady Cynthia aka THEMrsPeel, used the title alpha as clipping mask with pretty papers in a contrasting color and she also created a cut out subtitle on a word strip.

By Jenn
Here's my page where I used the clipping mask idea to add some patterned paper to just one part of the title to make it stand out. I also created a cut out journal card with the stencil idea.

Check out the latest set of alphas, Sketch & Wire, released by Mirjam. A versatile pencil sketch alpha and a chrome wire alpha, made to work together or can be used alone!

Make sure you use at least 75% of Pink Reptile Design products on your page. Once completed, just upload your page to one or all of your galleries and post a link to your layout in the comments section of this post before the next challenge goes live on April 15.

FREEBIES
Off course there's always a little something for free under the FB Free Gift Tab at the  and to be found HERE on the blog. :)

ONE lucky winner will receive a 10 dollar coupon to the PRD store, but really everyone is a winner, as all other participants receive a 25% discount coupon to the PRD TLP store. So all the more reason to join in on the fun, right?!

Wishing you tons of fun and Happy Scrappin'!

  7. Mine is in the gallery. I used the clipping mask technique on one part of the title. I used a blending mode to bring back the stitching. Love how great my UGLY deck turned out as a layout.
