Hi everyone! Welcome to the March blog challenge!
Before we dive into this month's challenge we need to announce the winner for the February challenge!
We sooooooooooooo loved everyone's pages for Gaëlle's Template Challenge! Curious to see what everyone made? You can find all those awesome entries HERE.
The lucky winner is...drumroll....... Trina!!!
We love how Trina totally made the template her own by placing the envelope in the lower left corner and filling it with yummi elements that lead your eye from left to right over all those goodies. The white and black background also really makes all the colors and that cute photo pop right of the page.
Congratulations Trina aka tjscraps!! You have a notification on your SSD account. Please make sure you check your messages and
if your coupon didn't come through send me an e-mail to pinkreptiledesigns

Here's Trina's beautiful layout:
This month we have a layout for you to lift. BUT.... we are not going to show it.
We will describe it for you and then you get to interpret the instructions.
The original layout will be shown when the next challenge is posted. LOL
So....are you ready?
ONE Start with a patterned paper as your background. The patterned paper covers your whole page.
TWO Use a solid paper to create a vertical border from the top to the bottom of your page and place it in the middle. (Size of this border is max. 1/4 of the page)
Add stitches to the left and right.
THREE Then place another piece of patterned paper behind the border. This paper is a little wider than your border so you can see it left and right and it starts at the top and stops at about half the page.
FOUR In the upper half of the border there are many layers with different papers shapes: 1 patterned and 3 solid circles plus 2 patterned and 1 solid rectangles
It's also embellished with 1 banner, 4 themed elements and 6 wordstrips. Some go over the edges of the border left and right but they all keep touching it or they are well with in the width of the border.
FIVE STILL on the upper half of the border at the very bottom right (this is also to the right of the center of your whole page)there's an unframed photo fixed to the border with stitches and decorated with a bow on the left side. The photo goes a little bit over the solid paper border on the right side.
SIX In the bottom half of the solid paper border and directly under the photo is a small cluster with 3 wordstrips, 1 element, 1 flower and below that cluster is the journaling.
SEVEN At the end of the border on the very bottom of the page is a small horizontal cluster with 2 different paper strips, 2 flowers, some elements, ribbon and 3 word strips.
ATTENTION: All papers, paper pieces, elements, word strips, photo and journaling are placed in the solid paper border or are at least touching it.
Only the title is placed outside the border. It is placed slightly below the photo on the right and it is decorated with an element 1 flower and 1 tiny rectangle bit of paper.
As finishing touches a few
brushes/stamps are added next to the embellished parts at the top and
bottom. Touching the border and or the elements that are going over the
border's edge.
To help you on your way we asked a few of the Pink Ladies to give the challenge a go. Here's what they came up with. Mind you...we will be happy when your layout resembles the original broadly.
