HYBRID | DECORATIVE CANVAS

Hello scrapbooking friends! I think you know by now how much I love all the different aspects of scrapping. Isn't it the best hobby ever?!
To show you that you do not have to stick to scrapping just pages I am bringing you this tutorial on how to make a hybrid canvas. An easy and fun way to preserve a memory and at the same time decorate your home in a unique and very personal way!

For this project I used the Sea Of Love Elements and Papers, inks, stains stencil, black wire, 3D autoadhesive foam, dies [leaves pattern] and my cutting Cuttlebug machine.

Step 1:
I created ink stains with a stencil.

Step 2 :
I cut a printed leaf from Sea of Love and I glued it on my canvas.

And added another leaf that I cut with my Cuttlebug from a red paper from Sea of Love.

Step 3 :
I added my photo and put a messy black wire on top of it.

I glued the beautiful red flower from Sea of Love on top of the wire to keep it in place.

Step 4 :
To finish my canvas, I added the whale on 3D autoadhesive foam and as a finishing touch I added a little wordart as my title.

And voilá! A perfect memory from our last vacation in Atlantic Ocean front!

As always I hope you enjoyed my post and if I inspired you in any way, shape or form then by all means make a photo of your project and upload it to your gallery so you can leave a link in the comment section below! I'd love to see what you made!

  1. Great memory and project ! It looks so easy when I read the article. But I'm wondering how I can cut elements only with scissors...
