Last month's challenge was a bit of a well, should we say CHALLENGE?! LOL. So this month we are making it a little easier on you, but before we get into the details, let's see who won the June "Out of the Box Photos" Challenge! You can take a peek at all the incredible and inspiring entries here.
Anywho....Our lucky winner is Ms. Amson!!!
Congratulations Carolyn aka Amson!!! You have a PM on your TLP account.
All other participants also received their 25% discount coupons via their Lilypad gallery accounts. Please make sure you check your messages everyone and if your coupon didn't come through send an e-mail to pinkreptiledesigns at gmail dot com!
Here's Carolyn's beautiful page:
Pick ONE of the following:
1. repeat a word or phrase on your page (must cover at least 1/4 or 25% of your page)
2. repeat a basic shape on your page (must cover at least 1/4 or 25% of your page)
3. repeat more than 1 thing on your page (total of all things repeated must cover at least 1/4 or 25% of your page)
Again, refer back to the latest Three Way | Repeat After Me post for more inspiration on using repetition on your pages. I cannot wait to see your pages!
Géraldine created a huge tone on tone repeat with the word NOTE blended into her entire background as the foundation for one of the sweetest photos ever. Just look at the message on those little feet! Love it! (used example 1. repeat a word or phrase)
Emma made this beautiful page with different types of circles as the focus for her repeating theme. She creatively uses a mix of solid, open text and dotted line circles. The impact of combining all these circles is much stronger than if she had only used one type of circle. She brilliantly uses these circles under her photos to draw the eye to them. So love this page! (used example 2. repeat a shape)
Shivani created this stunner with the fabulous idea to repeat her photos on her page! She created almost an entire background of adorable expressive faces by repeating photos. This is such a neat effect and really demands attention. She also repeated the little heart element. Fantastic! (used example 3. repeated more than 1 thing)
Cynthia used a gorgeous piece of Word Art repeated in a big bold way, in two tones of pink, to use as the foundation for a fun series of selfies! She also used repetition with different colored arrows. This helps to draw the eye into the photo area. I love that the fave focal photo has the angled frame and a sweet little cluster of elements. Such a pretty, whimsical page! (used example 3. repeated more than 1 thing)
Shivani also made this two page spread with the most adorable series of photos of her little one counting on her fingers. Swoon! She repeated the 123 word art across the two pages and really had fun repeating thin strips of different colors and patterns of paper on her page. What an awesome look! (used example 3. repeated more than 1 thing)
And one more from Shivani ... a double pager, with an explosion of repeats on this fantastic spread! She has repeated word art on the background paper, the stars, the circles and the little arrows. The overall effect is pure fun and whimsy! (used example 3. repeated more than 1 thing)
Now it's your turn. Show how you repeat one of those things on your page in a big, bold way!
FREEBIES
Off course there's always a little something for free under the FB Free Gift Tab at the and to be found HERE on the blog. :)
Wishing you tons of fun and Happy Scrappin'!
I'm a little confused. This is the July challenge that runs from July 15 to August 15th, right? THE RULES paragraph says we have until the next challenge goes live on July 15. Is this challenge actually closed? I'm hoping that's just a typo because I'm anxious to jump into this challenge and make a layout.
ReplyDeleteOOPS! Yes that is a typo Diane. I am going to fix that right away! Thanks for your comment!
Deleteanother fun month, here's my page

what a great topic Johanna! I love the gazillion books and fully agree that you can NEVER have too many! For this very reason I switched to an e-reader! LOL
DeleteOk, trying again, since the last one was little circles and three titchy cameras, I hope this one is more to the rules of the challenge.
