HYBRID MIRROR

Hello fellow scrappers! In this edition of hybrid scrapping I want to show you another home decoration project. This eye catcher will definitely get you ooh's and aah's from your friends and family and it is real easy to make!

I got this idea out of one of my never ending Pinterest searches for inspration. I stumbled upon various projects using paper butterflies and flowers and since I love butterflies and flowers I knew I had to try this on a project of my own. Here are some of the pictures that inspired me:

1. Stampin ' cards and memories 2. Little House On The Corner, 3. Bombshell Bling

At first I didn't know what to make. I just kept the idea of the paper shapes in mind. Then a few weeks later, while cleaning my scraproom, I found this mirror and I knew this would be perfect for my home decor project!

With the mirror on my desk I started printing papers from different Pink Reptile kits [Ta-dah, I'm Not Perfect, Pop Papers] and with a small butterfly punch I punched out many little butterflies in a variety of colors. Then I glued these on the black wooden frame of my mirror.

With my Cuttlebug machine I cut some dandelions and flowers out of white cardstock [of course you can out flower shapes by hand, use a punch or prima flowers or whatever you have in your stash].

To achieve a 3D effect, I put a second, smaller flower on top of a larger patterned flower [ pattern is printed paper from I Am Not Perfect]. I also added messy white wire under the flowers.

I made another cluster on the opposite side of the mirror.

As a final touch I adde a few more butterflies on top and voilá my mirror is finished!

As always I hope you enjoyed my post and if I inspired you in any way, shape or form then by all means make a photo of your projects and upload it to your gallery so you can leave a link in the comment section below! I'd love to see what you made!
