UNIQUE HYBRID VACATION ALBUM

In today's post I want to share the album I created with photos of our last vacation by the waterside [Atlantic Ocean].

Because the most dominant colors in my photos are pastel blue, pink, pale yellow and pale-orange it's the color palette that I chose for the papers and elements of my album. While picking papers it seemed as if Mirjam made the Pop Papers especially for my project. The papers were perfect! Apart from those I also used the Forget Me Not paper pack.

In the image above you can see the cover of my album. For the filler pages I tweaked my photos in photoshop and I added some embellishments from Sea of Love. I also added one WA from Summer Talk kit on each page.

Here's a sample of a tweaked and embellished [still digital] photo.

In the next step I printed all the embellished photos for my album plus a handful of patterned papers.

Then I created the structure of my album with white cardstock by folding the cardstock in half and glueing colored papers and photos to them. After that I added extra embellishments [made with my Cuttlebug and always sticking to my color palette] to create dimension.

Once the filler pages were done I had sewed small pocket pages inside the filler pages. I used those pockets to slide in more pictures and memorabilia. This way I can keep all the memories without cluttering my album and show just the highlights.

Last thing I did was make the cover for my album. I glued strips of pattern paper to cardstock, and added my title: the year and location of our holidays. [The cork heart elements is from Heimili  elements pack.]

The cover holds all the pages and a neat ribbon makes sure everything stays together.

As always I hope you enjoyed my post and if I inspired you in any way, shape or form then by all means make a photo and upload it to your gallery so you can leave a link in the comment section below! I'd love to see what you made!
