NOVEMBER BLOG CHALLENGE

Hello & welcome to the November Blog Challenge!

Is everyone exhausted from all the partying that went on last month with the Designiversary Celebration and then iDSD?! Such a great time of year. Hopefully you have recovered from all the fun and excitement and are ready for a new challenge, but before we begin, let's find out who won October's Celebration themed challenge. I loved seeing how everyone celebrates. Your pages were fun and filled with so much happiness! Check them all out here.

Mr. Random had the difficult task of picking just one lucky winner from all the entries and he chose: Gaëlle!

Congratulations Gaëlle!!! You have a PM on your TLP account.
All other participants also received their 25% discount coupons via their Lilypad gallery accounts. Please make sure you check your messages everyone!

Here's Gaëlle's beautiful page:

Welcome to the November Blog Challenge! For this month's challenge we are looking back to last week's Gradient Tutorial, where we recolored stitches and brushes, with gradients, to create a whole new colorful look for our elements. The idea for this tutorial came from this paper page created by Paige Evans.

I love the look of the over-sized stitched word art and the way the stitches and watercolors have an overall, rainbow colored look to them.

Your challenge is to create a page inspired by this layout with an item recolored in a similar way. You can interpret this anyway you wish: recolor stitches, recolor a brush or any other element your heart desires.

To help you with your page, Mirjam created a Mini Kit for you as a gift. There are two different colored word art stitches, holes for the stitches, a paper and a brush to help you recolor the stitches. You can recolor the word art stitches with a gradient, with the gradient brush provided in the mini kit, or any other method your creative mind can think up.

I hope you enjoy the free mini kit! Just click on the image to download.

ONE random winner will receive a 10 dollar coupon to the Pink Reptile store but really everyone is a winner as all other participants receive a 25% discount coupon to my TLP store, so all the more reason to join in on the fun, right?!

    1. Bobbie your coupon for entering the October challenge should be in your pms at TLP. If you did not get it then could you please send me an email at pinkreptiledesigns at gmail dot com please? And as you can read in Jenn's reply below, the brush is more like a stamp. It's a .png file and not an .abr. I wanted those colors in there hense the choice for a .png.

  3. Sorry Bobbie ... I meant there is a PNG "brush" element included not an ABR. Sorry for the confusion! It is the gradient that you see in the preview. You can clip it to an element and recolor that way, instead of using the gradient method if you wish. -Jenn
