Leaps of Love from Pink Reptile and the Pink Ladies!

For me 2012 started with a BANG. I had a spotlight at DST in January and nothing could have prepared me for the number of people that showed up at my live chat that is part of that spotlight! Wow.... what an amazing experience that was!!! The chatroom was jam packed with people and I felt the love all over as did the Pink Ladies (Pink Reptile Creative Team) who were there too of course! It was beyond AWESOME!

We were all deeply touched, very inspired and very excited and wanted to show Pink Reptile fans and followers some love ourselves!!!
Since lizards leap, what better day to celebrate the love we have for you all, than on LEAP DAY!!!!!
Feb 29th 2012!!!

So we put together some goodies for this special day that only happens once in four years in a very special month. The month of Love, February. On this Leap day, you are going to go on a sort of hop (LEAP) as we show YOU our LOVE and appreciation!!!!!!

These are all the goodies that you will be able to grab at all different Pink Reptile related spots, places and hangouts.

Happy Friday everyone!

With the weekend almost starting all new products are up at the ZZS shop. no new stuff for me this week but believe I will be making that up to you in spades next week!

In the mean time I thought it would be fun to introduce another one of my Pink Lady friends: the super sweet, super fun, slightly crazy and very talented miss Nini. You may or may not know this but it's the same Nini as in ninigoesdigi. Yep...the designer!

Well that's on thing but let's find out more...

Meet Pink Lady Nini

1. How and when did you start digital scrapbooking?
I discovered digi in the summer 2009. I was searching the web for sewing tutorials and stumbled upon some blog also showing digi pages and got curious. I had 2 week of digi fever and downloaded almost everything I could get for free and once the fever went down I contacted a French artist to be on her template CT. Even though I had zero experience, zero blog, zero nothing she was very kind in welcoming me in her team and that was it, I was officially hooked.

2. How and when did you end up in a CT/ CT’s
Oops, I just realized that I answered part of this question above lol. Well, as I was saying I found a CT call and it was for Bouille, a wonderful and very talented French girl who wanted girls to play with her freebie templates so I jumped. After that I joined ZZS with her as a team member.

3. How long have you been on my CT?
2 years and counting. I just can't get enough of you and your goodies lol
My dear friend Erika, who I "met" at Zig Zag Scrap, whispered in your ears that I loved your goodies (I think) and little after that you gave me the honour to be on your team. I still can remember how excited I was that day!!! Hubby didn't really understand what the fuss was all about lol xo to Erika, and xo to you! :)

4. What software do you use? What type of camera?
I started with PSE 8 but when I started designing I went crazy and bought CS5. Love it even though I can't use it at its maximum lol
I have a Pentax K-r and it's perfect for the newbie that I am. But I did buy a Tamron lens AF18-200mm so that I don't have to change lens all the time and that was a great purchase.

5. How would you describe your style?

I tend to stay clean but I like to have fun too and sometimes end up with something totally different from the day before so let's say I'm Funky/Clean ;) And when my mojo is on vacation, I just can't resist templates!!!! I'm such a template addict!!

5. What is your favourite scrapbooking item, something you turn too again and again?
Definitely papers cause I love patterns and also stitches.

7. What is your favourite Pink Reptile product and why?
I had to go to your shop to see the whole list of your goodies to see which one I prefer but it's really hard lol OK, so I love the colour scheme of True To Yourself, its patterns and stitches, plus I went back to that kit several times in the past so, I'll pick this one for my first ;) Your Numb3rs kit is also one of my favs... Oops sorry, did you say one? lol

8. Just for fun… tell us all about a quirky habit of yours!
When I put my shirts, t-shirts etc on hangers they have to be all the same side... do you see what I mean? And I won't let my hubby do the laundry cause he doesn't use softener and hang clothes like I want to lol Is it quirky and just manic? lol

9. Name 5 things that you can touch RIGHT NOW from where you are sitting, no cheating!
My tissue box, my mouse, my computer obviously lol, my favourite pen case and my Avene Water Spray.

10. Silliest thing you have ever done…
Close the double lock on my apartment door cause I was mad at my hubby when he came home late and drunk... I had to open afterwards cause he was too noisy apologising at the doorstep anyway lol.

11. Can you give us a tip on digital scrapbooking?
Buy a big external HD lol! I have a 2TB HD and I'm soooo happy I do not have to worry for computer space for my scrap goodies lol Does that count as an advice in digi? lol
OK I would also say, study shadowing cause that's what make a big difference in a page and also date your pages. If you scrap a memory it's so nice to have a date on the page somewhere instead of having to look in your photo folder and remember when it was taken. It doesn't have to be big, but I'm sure it comes in handy when you want to print your pages and make an album. Now I even title my pages with the date of the photo was taken and the person in it. I don't name them after the CT I made them anymore.

Nini I remember you were my second CT-member. I am so glad both you and Erika and still here on the team! Thanks for telling us a bit about yourself and for braving it in the spotlight and giving us a chance to getting to know you!

I have another Pink Lady that I would like you to know a little better. She has a great sense of humor and I love her retro style, here she is:

Meet Pink Lady Chantal

1. How and when did you start digital scrapbooking?
I started digital scrapbooking soon after I had given birth to my daughter Meagan. She was hooked to me therefore I was cooped up in the house 24/7 and I needed a distraction. I do remember, since money was tight, that I would go on blogs and grab freebies and would work with those. My first layouts were atrocious and I still wince on the rare occasions I open one up in Photoshop but I smile when I think about how far I've come along with my scrapping. I still love it to pieces and cannot see myself leaving it behind.

2. How and when did you end up in a CT/ CT’s
I applied a few years back to some CT's but I unfortunately my application was declined. This only fuelled the fire and I worked hard on improving my skills. Shadowing was a big problem area for me. My first CT was The Tattered Pear and then everything snowballed from there and I am now also scrapping for Lauren Reid, Honey Designs, Allison Pennington, Emily Merritt, Valorie Wibbens and of course Mizz Pink Reptile Designs (laughs). As you can imagine, I don't have a lot of free time and I'm pretty much stretched to the max as it is CT wise but sometimes I find the time to create a few LO's for other known designers and helped out Lauren Reid for her One Story Down blog a few times too. I am so passionate about scrapping, I cannot stop!

3. How long have you been on my CT?
I first met you (Mirjam) during my short stay at Zig Zag Scraps and I found you to be absolutely amazing and
fun. A few months latter, I received an email with an offer I couldn't refuse. I've been on the team since
August 2011.

4. What software do you use? What type of camera?
I currently use Photoshop CS4 but when I first started, I was using Photoshop Elements. As for the
camera, this summer, I treated myself to a Nikon D90 with a 50mm 1.8 lens.

5. How would you describe your style?

My style is simple with lots of white space but I LOVE pattern and bold coloured papers. Journaling used
to intimidate me but I can now add a few paragraphs or phrases no problem!

6. What is your favourite scrapbooking item, something you turn too again and again?

Tape…or wash tape if it comes in digital format. I am so insanely obsessed with this…it's perhaps
bordering on unhealthy.

Doctor Doctor with Jenn Barrette. I just LOVE the papers and those doodled elements are too cute!

8. Just for fun… tell us all about a quirky habit of yours!
If I misspell in a text, I will retype the corrected word with an asterisk at the end…I never miss one! It
makes my partner laugh for sure.

9. Name 5 things that you can touch RIGHT NOW from where you are sitting, no cheating!
My debit card, World War Z book by Max Brooks (definitely not my read), my can of Coke (bad habit!),
my purple Prada glasses…love em' and my IPhone 4 (it's always close by).

10. Silliest thing you have ever done…
Not too long ago, I went to the drive thru at our local coffee shop and ordered a sandwich and asked them
for sour mustard instead of honey mustard..honestly at the time, the name completely eluded me. Boy oh
boy did the server EVER laugh at me.

11. Can you give us a tip on digital scrapbooking?
In my opinion, shadowing makes or breaks a layout. I spend a lot of time tweaking them and I've even
established/wrote down element or paper shadows I've done so that next time I can easily modify the
numbers on each of my layouts. I tend to make the shadow a layer and I sometimes duplicate it for the
same element if need be.

365 schtuffs and a new FB gift

So I finally decided I am going to have a go at a 365 project. Maybe it will be a 52 project I am not sure what to call it but I am documenting everything that is worth preserving at the end of each week. So you tell me...

I told you last week that I was starting a 52 weeks of inspiration project in the ZZS fun-place right? Well first weeks theme was: newness so I was on the watch out for everything new that crossed my path and that is what my first layout is all about:

Journaling reads: How’s that for great beginnings? After a fantastic New Year’s eve with our best friends, first thing I run into in the morning is this line written on my notebook by Cindy saying “Mirjam is a sweetheart” (1). And if that was not just the best start of a new year I can also safely say that I am starting the New Year with very exciting stuff. I am being featured at DigiShopTalk the whole month of January! Wow...I still cannot believe I was asked and I am so very pleased with the kit I made for my feature! I really love the way it turned out (2). But there's more! I am also a guest designer at Scrappity Doo Dah! And to celebrate this occasion I made a collab with Bekah E (3) who turned out to be a great and fun person to work with. I bought 3 pairs of new shoes on sale and got them at a bargain price (4, 5, 6) ! Woohoo! Also I learned a new cool word: discombobulated (7). It means exactly what it sounds like: to confuse. How cool is that! I am keeping my fingers crossed that “good beginnings mean good ends”.

Hello everyone! I sure hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Do you ever wonder who all those fabulous, creative ladies are that make all those gorgeous layouts for designers? Would you like to know how they started scrapping, which elements they like best, what software they use and how they ended up in a CT?

Well I do. That is one of the reasons I started interviewing members from my CT: the Pink Ladies! Another reason is that I think they all deserve to have the spotlight pointed at them because they all ROCK!!!

Meet Pink Lady Natascha

1. How and when did you start digital scrapbooking?

Ohh that is a hard question, cause I really have no idea when I started making layouts! I started making tags and lessons found on the internet and from there I started making pages...maybe like 3 years ago (thinking out loud here)

2. How and when did you end up in a CT/ CT’s?

I think I stumbled upon a designers blog about 3 years ago, a Dutch designer and she was looking for some members and I actually got in after I applied and after that, well I have been applying like crazy (nooo I am not a stalker LOL) and some took me in their team and some not and some even asked me themselves ;)

3. How long have you been on my CT?

About 8 months now...ohh time really flies that's for sure!! (have to confess, I had to look it up) I really thought it was shorter * sorry* hahaha

4. What software do you use? What type of camera?

Okay, okay, I know...I am way behind on my software, but I still work with PSP! I kinda like that program and I just can't get use to PSE...I only use that for saving my pages for the web at the moment. And camera...I use a funky orange Sony Cyber-Shot (SteadyShot) at the moment.

5. How would you describe your style?

I have to admit that I am a huge template addict, so you will find that a lot in my gallery...but you can say that I am a huge fan of clustering and a lot of paper layers too!

6. What is your favourite scrapbooking item, something you turn too again and again?

Leaves!! Definitely!!! And patterned papers, love to use them in the background! Ohh and off course...templates!!

7. What is your favourite Pink Reptile product and why?

That's a tough one, cause all of your kits are awesome Mirjam! But if I had to like really choose one it would be Happy days! (Alpha, Elements, Papers). I just love the colour combination of them and since fall is like my favourite season...I think I made my best page with those awesome things for you Mirjam.

8. Just for fun… tell us all about a quirky habit of yours!

A quirky habit? Uhhh let me think LOL I think it would be when I get out of bed early in the morning, it goes like this: Visiting toilet, put on my computer, make myself some coffee and then I really need a cigarette!! Ohh and I hate it when someone changes things I have done in the house!!

9. Name 5 things that you can touch RIGHT NOW from where you are sitting, no cheating!

Only 5 things??? My medicine, a bottle of Pepsi Max, my agenda, my camera and my purse.

10. Silliest thing you have ever done…

I think it would be the day that we overslept and realizing there there were no classes at school after we stood there for like 10 minutes!! We really rushed getting dressed and everything and I totally forgot that my little lady had the day off and we found out when a neighbour came to us and tell us.

11. Can you give us a tip on digital scrapbooking?

A tip? And you are asking that to someone who still uses PSP? LOL I have no clue at all, sorry!!

pink lady spotlight: meet Candice

Among the Pink Ladies is also my dear friend Candice. Candice helps me to promote my products. Since she is still too shy to show her digital pages she leaves that to the rest of the pink ladies but off course she does have an opinion on the subject so I asked her the following questions to get to know more about the scrapper behind my promo champ.

Meet Pink Lady Candice

1. How and when did you start digital scrapbooking?

After 10 years of paper scrapping, I found myself “Googling” digital scrapping 3 years ago when I was stuck on bed rest due to having kidney stones. I was enamoured by everything that was available. I was so overwhelmed (in a good way) with the possibilities that digital scrapbooking could offer. I used to be one of those paper scrappers who said, “I would never try digital scrapbooking!” I thought there was no way I could give up the tangible papers, embellishments, and of course my tape-runners! I need to stick stuff! However, after considering it for awhile, I realized that with digital scrapbooking, you could literally scrapbook wherever you wanted to...with no mess to clean up afterward!

2. How and when did you end up in a CT/ CT’s?

Since I am not 100% confident in my digital skills, I began finding ways to surround myself with others in the digital community. I wanted to absorb what they knew...learn what they’ve learned. Well, because the digital community is some warm and welcoming, I quickly had many friends, and with that I started to help these talented people promote their products. I knew if I was a paper scrapper who swore I would never turn to digi, there must be literally hundreds of other paper scrappers who were missing out too! I started to make it my mission to inform the “uninformed!” So...I have found myself on the promotion team of the best shop in all of digiland!

3. How long have you been on my CT?

I have been working with you since May 2010! Time sure does fly when you’re having fun!

4. What software do you use? What type of camera?

I use PSE 7 when I TRY to scrap a page, and I use PSP to edit my photos. Don’t ask me why this is the case. I suppose old habits are hard to break. As far as my camera goes: I have currently use a Canon PowerShot. I would love to have a DSLR and I foresee that in my not-so-distant future!

5. How would you describe your style?

My style is somewhat traditional...I guess. I tend to see something that is “cool” and then expand upon it when I create a project.

6. What is your favourite scrapbooking item, something you turn too again and again?

Oh, most definitely ribbons and buttons!

7. What is your favourite Pink Reptile product and why?

I am so profoundly in love with, “Scrap!” – I think it is because it’s all about what we love to do...which is scrap!

8. Just for fun… tell us all about a quirky habit of yours!

Hmmm...quirky habit? It HAS to be my insatiable need to have every scrapbooking item ever created (whether it be digital, or paper), but never find the time to actually use any of it! Perhaps I should work on that!

9. Name 5 things that you can touch RIGHT NOW from where you are sitting, no cheating!

My EHD, a clock, my cell phone, a television remote, and my purse.

10. Silliest thing you have ever done…

hmmm....I do A LOT of silly things; sometimes on purpose, sometimes on accident. I’d say most recently, the silliest thing I did was: my kids and I (and a few of their friends) went through the drive-thru at a fast food place and as the worker handed me my credit card back, I told him that I loved his nose, and his eyeballs, too. My kids cracked up and he looked at me like I was a freak. But! My kids love to laugh, and who am I to deprive them?

11. Can you give us a tip on digital scrapbooking?

Yes! Don’t stress! And definitely never feel like you have to be “caught up.” If you do, you’ll always be overwhelmed and being overwhelmed isn’t fun. Secondly...journal on your pages! Someone...someday will see your scrapbook pages and you’ll want to tell that person a story. I flip through my Grandmother’s scrapbook and I have so many questions that I wish I could ask her...but I can’t, she’s passed on. Tell your loved ones what you were feeling, what you were thinking, who is in the photo, why is it special? Just remember, one day your scrapbook may land in the hands of a family member who didn’t have the pleasure of knowing you. Tell them your story!

how about some serif fonts

I thought I'd share some more free fonts with you today! I told you I am a font lover! This time I'd like to share some of my favourite serif fonts. For those of you that don't know (yet), serifs are the angled, thick or thin swashes on letterforms as show in the image below.

Most people will find these type fonts easiest to read because they are the fonts we are most familiar with. Pick up a magazine, newspaper or a book and most likely you will find that they are set in a serif typeface. For this same reason, serifs will not draw too much attention on a layout plus they are timeless!

So here are a few of my favorite serif fonts that you will be able to find on the web for free!

I hope you are all having a great weekend! Let me tell ya, mine started with a LOT of rain! Since I scrap and design I don't mind the rain anymore though. It gives me all the reasons I need to stay inside, behind my beloved PC and have some me-time...hahaha!

I have put 3 brand new alpha pack in my ZZS store. I am such a doofus because I completely forgot to put them up at DSB so you will not be able to find them there this week but I promiss I will put them up there asap. Too much on my mind. There's definitely a limit to a woman's multi tasking abilities!

about the pink ladies - meet erika aka doodlebop

I am SO blessed with my creative team members! They are not only unbelievably creative, super talented scrappers BUT they are also very sweet and A LOT of fun!! I realized that we needed a name for our gang. Since every designer has A creative team, that title is waaaaaay to general and does not do justice to who they are. Coming up with something wasn't even that hard because there was only one perfect name: the Pink Ladies! Luckily for me they all loved it when I told them!

So as of today it officially is The Pink Ladies and no longer the Pink Reptile CT.

I also think it is high time that I put these girls in the spotlight! They are, after all, the ones that make my products shine and turn them into works of art.

Meet Pink Lady Doodlebop

I asked Erika a bunch of questions, so you will be able to get to know her a little.
Here is what she had to say!

1. How and when did you start digital scrapbooking?

I started early 2009, but I didn't really start scrapping seriously until October 2009 when I embarked with you (Mirjam) on your journey.

2. How and when did you end up in a CT/CT's?

I had been on a few before joining yours but I didn't really know what I was doing. Remember you took me under your wing and gave me advice to help me improve my scrapping? I am so thankful for that! You know I still go to you to this day to ask if something looks okay or if I need to do something different. I definitely value your opinion.

3. How long have you been on my CT? (grinning while asking because I know the answer of course)

Well, I can honestly say I have been on your Creative Team since the beginning (October 15, 2009). I was your first CT member. I still remember when you asked me about taking on a couple more people because you were worried about how things would go. Look at you know! You have come a long way and you are one heck of a designer! I might be just a little biased, but that's okay lol.

4. What software do you use and what type of camera?

When I scrap I use Photoshop Elements 8.0 and I use Lightroom 2.0 to play some with my photos. My camera right now is a Sony Cybershot point & shoot camera, but at the beginning of next year I plan to upgrade to a better one. My poor camera has taken so many photos (mostly of my boys) that I think it is slowly dying on me.

5. How would you describe your style and could you tell us a little something about your scrapping routine?
My style is eclectic and by that I mean I scrap anywhere from clean & simple to complex pages full of details. The thing that I love to d,o that isn't always so easy, is journaling. I love to chronicle things in life by really telling a story. My journaling always comes straight from the heart. We are only supposed to show one page here, but I have two that I want to show. One that is more up to date and then one that I did a while back and that means so much to me. I am allowed to do that since I am the first CT member, right? LOL

6. What is your favourite scrapbooking item, something you turn too again and again?

I am a flowers girl. I love all kinds of flowers and most of pages have at least one or more on them. I even use them on my boy pages and I always get comments about how great it is to see flowers on a boy page. In my opinion flowers doesn't make a page girly in any way. I think it just adds a touch of beauty to the page!

7. What is your favourite Pink Reptile product and why?

That is a tough one since I love everything you make and that is just not me trying to butter you up either. Your kits are always amazing. With that said I think my fave product from you is True to Yourself. I love what this kit stands for, probably because you made it at my request, and the colors you chose when you made it are just perfect.

8. Just for fun… tell us all about a quirky habit of yours!

I get teased about this a lot, but when I eat a meal I have to eat one thing at the time. What I mean is if my meal is chicken, potatoes, and veggies then I have to eat one of them before I start eating another one. I have always been like this. I'm a weirdo what can I say...lol.

9. Name 5 things that you can touch RIGHT NOW from where you are sitting, no
cheating!

10. Silliest thing you have ever done…

Well, I do silly things on a daily basis so picking just one is a toughie...lol. I would say the silliest thing I have ever done is the time that I went to the grocery store to buy groceries and when I went to pay I realized that I left my wallet at home. Yea, that was a fun day...lol.

11. Can you give us a tip on digital scrapbooking?

I guess my best tip would be when you journal on a page, always make sure to journal from the heart. You want to pull the person looking at your page in and make them feel the emotion you are trying to convey. Make sure that you journal it the way you would want it to sound if you were telling it to someone.

how to create a pencil drawing effect in photoshop

In this tutorial I will show you one way of how you can make a pencil drawing effect using adobe photoshop. I will show you step by step how I create this cool effect making use of filters and blend modes.

This is the layout I made with my pencil drawing photo.

And this is how I got there:

1. Choose a photo that you would like to look like it was drawn with a pencil.
Here's mine: a picture of my DH playing his bass guitar.

2. Next thing we need to do is turn it into a black and white image by choosing image > adjustments > desaturate (yes that is another photo in the image, a girl can change her mind, right? no need to do EVERYTHING over again...LOL)

3. Duplicate that layer by choosing layer > duplicate layer or by using the shortcut ctrl J on PC or command J on the Mac.

4. Select the top (duplicated) layer and invert it by choosing image > adjustments > invert or by using the shortcut ctrl I on PC or command I on the Mac. Your top photo layer should look something like this now. Kinda spooky huh?

5. Now set this layer's blend mode to color dodge

My photo looks like this now! Yup all white. Maybe yours shows a few black pixels here and there and that's okay too as long as it is not a lot! If you do have a lot of black you might have selected color burn instead of color dodge!

6. It's all going to change when we make the next step, which is choose filter > blur > gaussian blur

you will all of a sudden get something like this

Now start playing with the slider until you get the desired effect (this will be different per photo but make sure you don't exaggerate it either way, too much or too less). You will probably end up somewhere between 5 and 7.5 pixels)

7. We already have a great result by now but maybe you want to do some more fine tuning in the contrast. I would like his hair, beard and eyes to have a bit more contrast and I don't like the grey blots on his arms. So I am using the color dodge and burn tool to fix that (color dodge to lighten up areas and burn to darken). Make sure you set the exposure to about 10% so whatever you do is subtle. Mine is still set at 25% in this image (see? on the menu bar at the top)

8. When you are satisfied then merge the two layers that you have by selecting them both and using shortcut ctrl E on PC and you guessed it, command E on the Mac. You could also go via the layers menu and choose merge layers. Whatever you prefer. Now it's time to add a background paper and blend the 2.

I chose this paper I made for the Life is Good add-on, part of a collab I did with Val C designs because it has a nice subtle texture and because I love the ever so slightly grunged up borders.

9. Paste the paper under the pencil sketch photo then select your photo and choose blend mode multiply (you should play with other blend modes too and see what gorgeous other effects you can create!!)

That should get you something like this:

10. That brings us to the final step, just one last tweak!

Duplicate the photo layer (see step 3) and with the duplicate layer selected choose filter > other > high pass (note that this layer will also have the multiply blend mode and that okay, just leave it like that)

Adjust the slider so you will get a nice sharp effect, I set mine at 1.3

As you can see this layer is all grey and that exactly how it should be. Now change the layer's blend mode from multiply to hard light and adjust the opacity to your likings. I set it at 50 % to get this nice sharp effect and slightly more contrast but not too much. (yep it's that other photo again, but you get the point)

If you are like me you will have all sorts of fonts for any kind of theme layout: neat, traditional fonts, handwritten, doodly fonts, grungy fonts, whimsy fonts, retro and formal fonts, you name it! I like the way fonts can add character to a page. I see them not only as a way to tell my story but definitely as a decorative element too.

My page isn't finished until I have found the perfect font to match it!

Oh my goodness that letterhunt was fun huh! I love to play games, tease and joke and to be honest I don't think I will ever grow up nor do I want to haha! It's my way of dealing with the stress of every day life and I am sure that, if you are honest, you agree that taking a ride on the swings or picking up a hair brush and singing along that song on the radio from when you were just 16 -real loud when no one's looking-, is still plain fun! Although we might look older now, we never really grow up!

sneak peek new collab and RAK!

I have been a little absent on my blog and facebook page lately but not without reason! If you see what I have cooked up for you alone and with others you probably won't believe that I prepared all that in a months time! It will probably take me 2 to recover but hey I hope I can say it was worth it when I look back.

Of course I am not going to reveal everything in detail now but I am willing to give a few hints as to what you can expect, okay?

Well, I have a guest spot coming up at an amazing store, I am really honoured and excited to have been invited and I made some pretty cool products that will be exclusively available there during my stay. I will also be sponsoring a super cool scrapbook site, one that I like to go to when I need layout inspiration. Everytime I pay them a visit I am in awe with all the beautiful layouts that are up there! Next thing in April is a major event happening at ZZS and when I say major I mean MAJOR!!

But it's not April yet and yet the fun is going to start now!!! Yay!!!
Because on top of all the above I also made the cutest collab. I am not going to tell you who my partner in crime for this one is but I am going to give you a sneak peek of the result. Rúbia made the cutest little printable 6"x4" album. All you need to do to finish the album is add your photos and journal about the '10 things you love about the person you want to dedicate the album to'. When you're finished you will have the perfect gift for Valentine's Day!
Finished in no time!
Of course you can choose to give it an extra oomph by embellishing it after you printed it. It will take a little longer but the result will be all the more stunning and personal!
The size of the album makes it possible to print 2 pages on 8,5 x 12 inch paper aswell as the European standard A4 so it's definitely also a money saver. The album contains 10 .png files and 2.jpgs. The cover is in both an English AND Portuguese version!

I made a set of printable cards with the kit that I think are just perfect to surprise someone you love and not only on Valentine's Day but the whole year trough! There are 6 different designs. One of them is in .jpg format only and one in .png format only the others are in both formats so you can choose whether you'd like to send your card anonymous or put in a photo of yourself! There are also 3 templates to make it a real postcard or cards in which you can write your message more privately, portait and landscape option included. All items are of course created at 300 dpi for maximum print quality. If you want to give it an even more personal touch, sew on some real buttons, bows, sequins and/or ribbons!

I have another little sneak peek for you!
For this lovely collab (yes.....it's so much fun to create somthing together) I teamed up with my dear friend Rúbia from Studio Basic again. We both like to scrap about how much we love our hubbies and most of the time those layouts are embellished with photos of us kissing! That is why we decided to make a collab that would suit our personal needs. We chose a fun & bright color scheme to make sure our snapshots will look funky and fresh and added a truck load of elements in a variety of styles, techniques and textures. Of course we added an alpha and a handful of artistic templates to get us started.
It turned out so spectacular we thought it would be a crime not to share!

And we didn't stop there! As I said we made it for our personal needs and couldn't wait to play with it. Turned out it wasn't directly layouts that we created........
